Anyway, new kirby comic page! As I commented there, we're not yet at the end... but we're getting close!!

Anyway! Yes, the competition/contest has closed! With three entries, I'll be onto announcing the winners and getting together the awards very soon. Just recovering after a busy week, so I'll update this journal later with the details.
All the entries were fantastic, and I'm so thrilled to see them!

Ah, in other news... I've actually finished drawing the Kirby comic. o_O I know! It's finally finished! Now to just update... and there's a few more to go before you'll finally see the end of it. ~_^

I could go on and on with the story, but I've other projects I'd love to work on, and the Kirby comic does need to end sometime. So hope you'll enjoy the ending.

Wooot! It's September. And not only is it September...

...But I've also just posted up the 100th comic strip of Age of the DS: Rise of the Pink!

So what to do to mark this occasion? (Apart from bolding a few announcements about it...)
Hold a contest! (More bold text!!)

Indeed. You may have noticed that the 100th comic strip is in need of a little colour...
That's where you come in. (No, I'm not just being lazy!)

Download and colour the page, and add some colour! Once you're done, post it up with a link to the original, and note me! (Don't forget to put it in the correct category -contests or competitions; I forget which but it's one of those. No specific sub-category however. )

What am I looking for?
Well, I do like bright colour, patterns, and creativity.
I don't really like blood and gore, horror or toilet humour. e_e
Feel free to add more into the background or totally amaze me by colouring all those wonderful Kirby and Mario monsters in their correct colours. o_O!

Prizes

First Place: choice of one of the two sculptures I've created (as well as a postcard if you wish ) [link]

Also, for those who don't come in first or second place, I'll be sending NZ postcards with a short message and sketch on the back. If you're not happy with giving me your postal address... eep. >_< I'll see what I can do about posting a character sketch online for you.
There are things I can and can't draw; so understand that I have the right to say no and ask you to draw other things. I'd prefer to draw something Mario or Kirby related, but can probably do some fan-art for you (keep in mind it'll need to be G-rated for a post card XP), draw random cute animals etc or if all else fails, just plaster the postcard with stickers. XD XD XD
If there are a thousand entries or anything huge like that (XD I doubt it, but still!) I'll probably have to narrow down who I send a postcard to though. XD

So stay tuned; I'll update this journal when I finish off the main prizes and can put some pictures up. In the mean time, please give it a go; I'd love to see what you do, and depending on how many people enter, you'll probably at least recieve a free postcard.

Sorry for waiting a few days before a journal update. But then again... I don't think anyone waits on pins and needles for these. XD

Yes, it's August! And surprise, surprise: I've been working hard on the Kirby comic... and there should be more than one update per month! *Gasp*!

^_^ We still haven't shifted out of our house but that may happen during the latter part of this month.

I'm studying to take the test to get my Learner's driver permit. Whoot!

...And apart from that I can't think of any real news to report. Working hard to update the Kirby comic faster should be news enough! I think most of you who watch me just watch me for that. XD

Oh yes... on a side note, 'we' (well 'me', but 'we' sounds cooler here ) are planning to have a special 'epic' sort of page for page 100. Don't expect TOO much and be disappointed (it's not going to be flash animated or anything, sorry...) but it will be somewhat different.

So yup. I'll keep updating. Thank you for watching me, for reading this, and for your encouragements. I wish you all the best for all your art as well! Keep drawing. ^_^

(P.S So the Age of the DS: Rise of the Pink comic doesn't TOTALLY take over my gallery, I'll try to update with some other art in between the pages, hehe. )
